HD-R1 è un registratore/riproduttore stereo a stato solido a una singola unità rack, studiato ad hoc per gli installatori. Grazie all’utilizzo di una card Compact Flash, l’HD-R1 può registrare alle frequenze di campionamento di 44,1 oppure 96 kHz con una risoluzione di 16 o 24 bit in formato PCM o in formato MP3. È possibile controllare in remoto l’unità HD-R1 tramite RS-232, porta parallela e porta RJ45 Ethernet a 100 Mbit. Il trasferimento di file è possibile via Ethernet e/o USB (connettore tipo “A”).
Per migliorare ulteriormente le caratteristiche dell’HD-R1, sono stati inclusi preamplificatori microfonici con pad di attenuazione di 20 dB e Phantom Power (selezionabile sul retro). L’HD-R1 offre una varietà di connessioni I/O per l’installatore, come prese sbilanciate RCA, prese bilanciate XLR, terminali Euroblock, prese digitali S/PDIF sia coassiali che ottiche. Sul pannello frontale sono presenti i controlli rotativi per regolare i livelli di ingresso e l’uscita per cuffia.
Fra le varie funzioni e modalità di riproduzione, non manca l’opzione Power-On Play, che consente la riproduzione automatica dei file all’accensione dell’unità.
