L’ US-200 è un’ interfaccia Audio/MIDI USB 2.0 per piattaforme Mac e Windows, alloggiata in uno chassis leggero e facile da trasportare. E’ dotato di due ingressi e quattro uscite; le tracce audio possono essere registrate con risoluzioni sino a 96-kHz/24-bit, mentre i due ingressi microfonici XLR di alta qualità, forniscono l'alimentazione phantom necessaria per microfoni a condensatore. Sul pannello posteriore sono disponibili quattro uscite RCA, un ingresso MIDI e un'uscita per controllare sintetizzatori e drum machines. Il monitoraggio diretto consente di ascoltare il segnale in ingresso senza ritardi introdotti dal software.
L' US-200 è alimentato direttamente attraverso USB e non necessita quindi di connessioni supplementari. Viene fornito con una copia di Cubase LE5, recentissima versione a 48 tracce del software Steinberg. Il supporto di plug-in VST, mixing automatico e tracce MIDI consente di dar vita a grandi produzioni. E' inoltre possibile utilizzare i propri software di editing preferiti: l'US-200 supporta la maggior parte delle applicazioni audio per MAC e Windows, come per esempio Logic Pro, Live, Nuendo, Digital Performer, Fruity Loops, Pro Tools 9 and molti altri.
